Shunkan - The Pink Noise

Shunkan - The Pink Noise

A lovely indie rock record that owes a substantial debt to the sounds of the ‘90s, but a band doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel for me to enjoy their music.

Experimentation is great, but experiments yield negative results as often as they do positive ones - that’s the nature of an experiment, it’s unpredictable. So it’s sometimes nice when a group uses tried and true sounds and injects them with their own personality.

Sometimes hazy, sometimes heavy, and sometimes poppy - but always with heaps of charisma and talent. Worth a listen.
