Eliot Sumner - Information

A solid and very promising record. Not a debut, but definitely a new direction.

It’s a sort of moody synth-pop. It reminds me a bit of early Metric, and the cover should clue you in to the James Blake influence. It’s not perfect, but there’s enough here for me to recommend it. I’ll be looking forward to the follow-up.

Also - and I didn’t know this until after listening - this is apparently Sting’s daughter, which is interesting - if not particularly relevant.
