Hinds - Leave Me Alone

Hinds - Leave Me Alone

How has a ramshackle, garage-based girl group from Madrid managed to cultivate so much hype? It’s certainly not through polish or professionalism. No, these young women stick very closely to their amateur aesthetic. So, what’s the deal?

Well, to me it’s obvious if you just listen to the record. These are, at their core, very well-made pop songs. They betray a level of talent that all the lo-fi recording and first-take vocals can’t hide. Plus, it’s just fun music.

Highlights: Fat Calmed Kiddos • Warts • Castigadas En El Granero
